17th-century farmhouse on the slopes of Mount Anboto in the Atxondo Valley. Restaurant run by Jorge Asenjo, who offers a cuisine with strong local roots. Jorge has gone right back to basics to retrieve products that are no longer used, like trout, sarda sarda (a type of mackerel), acorns and freshwater crab. À la carte or tasting menu. Extraordinary wine list and good service. Interior with traditional décor and some modern touches. There's also a weekend offering at La Taberna de Erro, where you can have pintxos and traditional sharing dishes on the terrace. Worth discovering.
